There are flights from a number of UK airports to Bergerac and you are then only about 60 minutes drive away from Castelnaud.  At Bergerac airport there are several hire car companies whose rates are competitive.  Details of the airlines servicing Bergerac and car hire companies can be found on the Useful Links page of the web site.  As Bergerac is such a small airport it is possible to be on the road within 20 minutes of landing!  The drive from the airport is very straightforward and we provide detailed instructions on how to reach "Le Rouquet".  If however you choose not to fly, the village is only about 45 minutes from the excellent French motorway system.  Bordeaux airport is just over 100 miles away for those travelling this route.  There are also a number of regional aiports in the area which may be served by other carriers.

 

If you wish to travel by train it is possible to travel to Souillac (about 45 minutes from Castelnaud) from Paris and then hire a car.  There is also a train service from Bordeaux and Bergerac to Sarlat ( www.ter-sncf.com/aquitaine ) which is a mere 10km away and then either hire a car from Hetz or Europcar who both have agencies about 400m from the station.
